Date and hours: December 8th, 2018, 12-11 p.m. (21 and over after 8 p.m.)
Location: 132 Airstrip Road East Stroudsburg, PA
Drinks: Expect our standard menu, plus a selection of new cocktails for the party. No tickets or cover, drink what you pay for.
Food: Square Fare food truck 3-9 p.m. (Tacos, sliders, flatbread pizzas, BBQ chicken and waffles, dessert waffles )
Music: Bill Rooth performing 5-8 p.m.
Trivia: Prohibition, Roaring 20s, and whiskey-making trivia with prizes for winners! Starts promptly at 3:30 p.m.
Attire: Roaring 20s attire is encouraged, but not required!
Photo booth: We will have a photo booth to help you commemorate the party!
Why do we have the Prohibition Party?
On January 17, 1920, Prohibition in the United States began following the ratification of the 18th Amendment by Congress. While it did not ban the consumption of alcohol, it instead prohibited the sale and distribution of alcohol in the U.S.
On December 5, 1933 Congress passed the 21st Amendment, resulting in the repeal of Prohibition, which officially took effect on December 15th.
As a proud American distillery, we at Silverback felt that it would be apropos to celebrate our industry's revival and history by hosting an event for our most enthusiastic patrons. Also we wanted to throw a party. Because who doesn’t love a party?
